Our Secretary Mr Kunal Kumar Singh of the organization, his initiative to work for the downtrodden people strengthening them and make them economically stable, raise critical issues and work on it in the benefit of the community, has brought this growing base line working organization into existence during 2005. He was supported by many dignitaries & likeminded people who, since then, became an active participant in the work and culture of the organization.

The concept of its founder secretary started bearing fruits for the deprived section of the society with its registration as 'Bharatiya Lok Kalyan Sansthan' under Society Registration Act 1860 on 5th Dec 2005. It is also registered U/S 12A & 80G of Income Tax exemption Acts. The organization is also registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs under FCRA.

The organization has always been working with the support of skilled and dedicated staff personnel for the cause of community living in distress. The thought provoking ideas and efforts of the founder to unite people of different caste and creed through games & sports has also brought recognition by the government and BHARATIYA LOK KALYAN SANSTHAN was awarded Best NGO working in the field of Sports during the year 2009-2010. BLKS has been basically involved in the field of community mobilization particularly in health, vocational training, sports, art and culture with the assistance of national and State Level funding agencies/ NGOs.

Bharatiya Lok Kalyan Sansthan is a grassroot level organization which has considerable experience in skill development programme, communication and community mobilization in the implementation of various programme & projects of different agencies.
The organization has been working in the promotion of skill development for employment promotion amongst urban/rural poor and basic education of the common people, poverty alleviation and sustainable growth through the mechanism of income generation. The organization is engaged in designing and implementing programme for SCs, STs, OBCs and other disadvantaged communities and groups ever since its inception.
The exemplary work done by the organization at the grassroots level in many areas and on many issues of development has brought significant changes in the lives of beneficiaries. BLKS has many future plans to work for the have-nots for their integrated development.

Communication and Behavior Change The organization is working in the field of mass development particularly in Women Empowerment, health, vocational training, sports, art and culture with the assistance of national and state level funding agencies/NGOs. BLKS is involved in designing and implementing program for SCs, STs, OBCs and other disadvantaged communities and group ever since inception.

BLKS is implementing many projects at grassroots level in different parts of Jharkhand including the Naxal affected areas with the support of Socially Innovative, hardworking & experienced governing body accompanied by dedicated, energetic, enthusiastic, skilled & educated staff personnel.
